We had a good time at Yakinori, but a couple of things let the food and drink down.

My wife was served a chicken dish, which came with whole chicken thighs. Normally this is not a problem, but when you are only given chopsticks to eat it with, it is. I understand that we could ask for a knife and fork, but the point is that the meal should be edible with chopsticks, and it wasn't. A bit of a shame as the food was nice, but the large chicken spoiled it with her having to cut it up with her teeth.
My dish was a salmon poke bowl, which initially was quite nice with the sauce provided, but very quickly got boring to eat. It needed a punchy flavour which the sauce tried to give, but it needed something else. Not bad food, but not great either.
For the drinks, their "homemade lemonade" is clearly a cheap branded lemonade with some fruit squash added to flavour it, Maybe they ran out of their homemade stuff, but honesty goes a long way.

The service was good here, however, but I'm not sure that redeems the slightly disappointing food.

We did the Sushi Making class and really enjoyed it. The event was well organised and the chef demonstrated and explained everything extremely well.

Very tasty food and great vegan options. Huge portions so great value too. I had delivery and it came quickly and was still hot. Vegan bento box was a great selection and I liked that I could add bits to it. Bubble tea also a nice addition. Will def order again.
